A pair of silkscreen prints on natural linen depicting illustrated mottoes.
“Peace” print: a three-color print displaying an American eagle at center, with the words, “PEACE PLENTY AND INDEPENDENCE”. The composition is bordered with red five-point stars.
“Success” print: a four-color print displaying a farmer at a plow, a sheep and harvest tools. Central to the composition is the motto, possibly from Poor Richard’s Almanac, “SUCCESS TO THE PLOUGH, THE FLEECE, AND THE FLAIL. MAY THE LANDLORD EVER FLOURISH AND THE TENANT NEVER FAIL”. The composition is bordered with a trailing vine.
