Print: House & Barn 820-2 Pair

Description

Country Prints production samples retained as a print record. A pair of silkscreen prints on linen depicting a house with two chimneys, a well, a brick outbuilding, and a stone-ender barn with lightning rods, a cupola, and silo. The House print is produced with six screens and seven colors. The barn is six colors. The barn print bears a resemblance to Wert’s own barn before it was renovated into his studio and home. This pair is listed in the January 1960 Country Prints price list, and appears in the c.1960 brochure “Country Prints in Frames Designed by Robert Darr Wert”. Prints were offered in a choice of antique birch or flat black frames.
