Name/Title

Gift Greeting, Christmas: Twelve Days, Colonial, Fourth Day (TK)

Description

A six-color silkscreen print on off-white linen depicting the fourth day of Christmas from the traditional Christmas song, “The Twelve Days of Christmas”. The “four calling birds” are represented by four blown glass bird ornaments hung against a shield-shaped field of brown, which hangs from a green garland. At the base of the compositions is the text from the song, “On the fourth day of Christmas my true love sent to me four calling birds”; see web link for song history. A full set of the “Colonial” Twelve Days prints has not been documented. This is a Gift Greeting, Country Prints’ line of unmounted prints available in cardstock note folders with envelopes for mailing or gift giving; see “Branding” entries for folios. This example is a sales sample used by Country Prints.
