Name/Title

Notecard: Herb Notes 236

Description

Four-color silkscreen prints on off-white linen depicting the herbs, their latin names, and uses in cooking. The linen prints are glued within a die cut notecard in yellow-green or gray. A leafy border is silkscreen printed in dark green. This was originally a set of eight cards. Herb Notes are a subset of the Country Print Notes line of notecards. These examples match the Country Prints herb tile series, differing from a previous series of Herb Notes 236 (see brochure image below). Cleverly, the artwork for this set did double duty as a wallhanging featuring eight herbs (Herb Chart 258, see image below): lavender, chives, burnet, rosemary, basil, sage, thyme and marjoram. The imagery from the printed wallhanging was cut to size for the notecard set.
