Description

A five-screen/six-color silkscreen print on off-white linen depicting an early American kitchen fireplace hung with a multitude of cast and wrought iron cooking tools. The scene includes a fireplace crane, a copper pot and copper tea kettle, a glass demijohn, a candle stand, a matchbox and a painted settle. The official name for this print has not been documented. The staple marks in the corners of this example indicate it was likely a Country Prints sales sample. This print has descended through the Wert family.
