Description
Two finished tea towels from a Bucilla cross stitch kit. The roosters and hen are taken from Country Prints’ “Good Morning U226” towel/wallhanging. Kits were offered in red and turquoise colorways. This kit is turquoise.
The instruction sheet for this kit bears the notation “S/66” at the end of the instruction text, which may be Bucilla’s code for when the kit was released, Spring or Summer of 1966. This would follow Country Prints’ introduction of the “Good Morning” towel that inspired these pieces by at least three years. The towel was released c.1963.
Kit completed by PKM. A duplicate kit remains.
