A Bucilla cross stitch kit for an oven mitt featuring a rooster on a fencepost based on Country Prints’ “Good Morning U226” towel/wallhanging; see images. This kit was offered in red and turquoise colorways.
The instruction sheet for the tea towel kit in this series bears the notation “S/66” at the end of the instruction text, which may be Bucilla’s code for when the kit was released, Spring or Summer of 1966. This would follow Country Prints’ introduction of the “Good Morning” towel that inspired these pieces by at least three years. The towel was released c.1963.
