Name/Title
Print, Christmas: 1961 Country Prints Christmas Greeting (Possibly), Christmas SongsDescription
An offset-printed greeting card/folder on heavyweight, off-white cardstock. The outside face of the notecard depicts an early stringed instrument, a christmas tree, and the phrase, “Seasons Greetings”. Inside the notecard, a family plays musical instruments and sings. A guitar, flute, piano, lute and trumpet are pictured. At center is the greeting, “WISHING YOU GOOD HEALTH, GOOD FRIENDS, GOOD CHEER.”
It is likely this card contained one or all of eight Gift Greeting prints, each depicting an individual classic Christmas song. Peg Wert’s handwritten list of Country Printers Christmas greetings notes that “Christmas Songs” were mailed in 1961.
From left to right, the family depicted is the Werts: Bob with sheet music, Jerry with a guitar, Sara playing flute, and Peg at the piano.Made/Created
