Name/Title
Towel, Wallhanging: Miller 205Description
A six-color silkscreen print on off-white linen depicting a miller with barrels of his product set alongside a village with a mill and waterwheel supporting the phrase, “Remember the miller when you eat your bread”. This is a c.1954 update of an earlier design of the same name and number.
This towel/wallhanging/runner appears in the c.1954 brochure “Robert Darr Wert/Country Prints Kitchen Hangings”; see images.
An undocumented matching placemat set was also produced.
In the mid-late 1960’s, this design was used as inspiration for a vertical towel/wallhanging of the same name.Made/Created
