Description

The site stone for Whitesel's United Brethren Church and for Mother Mary Whitesel. The Stone was dedicated in 1977 by the St. James United Methodist Church members as this was the site of Whitesel's Memorial Church which merged with Pleasant Valley E. U. B. to form St. James in 1962. Whitesel's Memorial Church was first founded in 1824 by Mary Whitesel's son, Peter and was the oldest church in the E. U. B. conference.
