D. H. Lee Martz. Enlisted as 1st. Sergeant, Company G, 10th Virginia Infantry, on April 18, 1861. Promoted through the ranks to that of Colonel. Wounded during the Battle of Chancellorsville in 1863 and captured in 1864 at Spotsylvania Courthouse. Exchanged and was paroled April 9, 1865 at Appomattox. Elected Clerk of the Circuit Court in 1887. Civil War Veteran
