The Baxter House. 1800. Located on Rt 42 South of the town of Broadway, VA
Many Log houses were built because ot the availability of materials. This was built at the end of the 18th Century. It was built in two sections. The original was added to by a new rectangle structure in line with the original, covered with a common roof, the hallway became a room or a leanto on the back making seven rooms.Collection
