Notes

The comb is in mint condition with no noticeable scratches or cracks. The yellowed color could have been an original design decision but it was likely originally bleached white. The yellowed color is what ivory accurately looks like and is simply the color from inside the tusk coming out over time. This is normal and desirable of antique ivory pieces. It should not be corrected.

Recommendations

Ivory is a very durable material resistant to wear but will break if handled too aggressively. The tangs cannot and should not be bent as is possible with modern plastic combs. Attempting to bend this comb in any way will result in breakage. Please handle with care.
