Description

1917-1918 Royal Flying Corps/Royal Air Force service dress jacket. Khaki barathea wool. Single-breasted with lapels, shoulder straps, two pleated/flapped breast pockets, two flapped waist pockets, one belt-level "watch fob" pocket. Vent in centre back. Six 1.5 cm. diameter brass "RAF" buttons on pockets/shoulder straps. Three 2.4 cm. diameter brass "RAF" buttons on front. Each shoulder strap has two cloth "pips" for Lieutenant's rank, and brass "Canada" flash. On left breast is sewn Royal Air Force pilot's wing qualification badge, and ribbons for 1914-1920 British War Medal, 1914-1919 Allied Victory Medal. Olive drab sateen lining.
