1857 Toronto Volunteer Militia Foot Artillery Company Officer's Commission Scroll "First-Lieutenant William Loftus Turner." Rectangular, blue watermarked paper. Red paper seal top left arms coat of Governor-General. Partial text reads:"We appoint William Loftus Turner Gent. a Second-Lieutenant...effective from 13 November 1856..." Signed by Edmund Walker Head, and Adjutant-General Militia de Rottenburg.
