Description
1890-1901 British civilian "Canadian-coat-of-arms" sterling silver match safe. Flattened, rectangular sterling silver. Rounded, curved edges. Hinged, top-opening lid. Front stamped in relief with Victorian crown atop scrolled shield, enamelled white, red, green, blue, yellow: Canadian coat of arms decoration. The bottom edge is serrated for striking match heads.
