Description
1901 Scarboro Welcome Home Committee South Africa War Medallion. Circular dark gray steel plate with gilt metal rim, plastic front. Inside is white plastic field with sepia image of maple leaf, four photographs of Scarboro veterans (Little at bottom). Titles "Scarboro Welcomes Her Heroes 1901" Medallion has gilt metal "W" suspender pinned to 8 x 4.2 red/white/blue swallowtail silk ribbon. A second ribbon behind this is brown tan silk or satin, with black title "Welcome Scarboro's Sons From South Africa Jan. 1901"
