Description
1914-1918 British Expeditionary Force (Royal Field Artillery) 18-pounder quick firing gun shell carrier. Tapered cylindrical woven wicker casing. Four hardwood splints (1.6 cm wide x 45 cm long). Brown leather base (2.5 cm wide x 11 cm diameter) sewn to base. Also sewn to base are four brown leather pads (3.5 cm long x 1.5 cm wide).
