Description
1915-1918 French Army Model 1897 75 mm. field artillery gun shell casing. Cylindrical, brass, fluted mouth, rimmed base, fired primer. Worked into a "trench art" souvenir: hundreds of dots, grooves, stipples form twined leaf branches circling a shield with etched name "Auberive."
