Description
1917-1918 2nd Battalion private's Service Dress Cap w/badge. Khaki green cotton twill. Soft crown, body, cap band, peak (distinctive stitching). Two large brass grommet ventilation holes each side. Two 1.3 cm. diameter pressed leather "Coat of Arms" buttons hold an adjustable (brass buckles each side) dark brown leather chinstrap 1 x 29 cms. Pinned to front is brass maple leaf cap badge with white metal crown atop scrolled "Eastern Ontario" and numeral "2", 4.5 x 4.7 cms.
