Description
1917-1918 Canadian Army officer's General List service dress cap made of tan khaki wool. The top of the cap is flattened and has a front peak. On either side of the body are two painted brown ventilation grommets. The adjustable leather chinstrap (29.5 cm long) is attached to the cap with two pressed leather chinstrap buttons (1.5 cm diameter). The general list cap badge (4.5 x 4.5 cm) is a plated gold maple leaf cap badge with a King's crown in the center.
The cap lining is made of brown cotton or linen and is diamond quilted. The sweatband is made of reddish-brown leather.
