1917-1918 Royal Canadian Dragoons officer's service dress cap w/badge made of khaki green barathea wool. The crown is circular, attached to a four-piece, unstiffened body and band. At the rear are eight ventilation grommets (0.8 cm diameter). A brass Royal Canadian Dragoons badge (5 cm x 3 cm) is attached to the band. The chin strap is made of medium brown leather, attached to the cap with RCD brass buttons (1.3 cm diameter), and made adjustable with sliding straps. The peak is stiffened.
The inside (crown and sweatband) is lined with a brown twill fabric, possibly cotton or linen. The crown lining is quilted in a circular pattern.
