Description
1940-1945 Canadian Army General List officer's service dress cap made of fine grain (barathea) wool. The crown is rounded with a 4-piece body and two metal ventilation grommets on each side. The cap band, made of the same khaki wool, has a browned copper Royal Coat of Arms cap badge (5 x 4.7 cm). Two brass "General List" buttons (1.2 cm diameter) hold the adjustable red-brown leather chin strap (1.2 cm wide x 35 cm long). The peak is stiffened.
The inside crown is lined with a middle green felt. The peak underside is made of the same khaki wool. The sweatband is made of leather.
