Description
Canadian Volunteer Auxiliary Drivers' Corps Pamphlet, produced by General Motors. The VADC was a volunteer initiative not organised by DND or the government. This pamphlet advertises the VADC and announces that the GM program has trained more than 2,000 women as potential ambulance or truck drivers, with 25 classes in session currently.
The pamphlet explains that during WWI women were called upon to volunteer for many different tasks. This inspired GM to create the VADC program, in anticipation of the need for women volunteers during WWII.
