Description
1940's Royal Canadian Air Force Type "B" leather flying helmet. Brown leather, machine stitched, at least 17 outer panels. Two vertical leather straps with snap fasteners (for goggles) 22 cm long leather neck strap at rear. Additional 8 cm long adjustable vertical strap at rear for fIt. Three steel buckles including for chin strap. Distinctive zippered earphone access covers with interior chamois padding. Interior lining also tan yellow chamois. On the interior there is one faded black marking which is illegible.
