Description
1953-1968 Royal Canadian Army Service Corps officer's service dress cap w/badge made of green khaki wool. The crown is circular and the body has no ventilation grommets. The peak is stiffened and made with the same khaki wool. The cap badge is small (a collar badge) and denotes the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps. It depicts a crown with a sunburst scrolled title, and a G VI R Royal cypher (3 x 3 cm). The brown leather chin strap is adjustable and is held by two bright gilt brass buttons (RCASC Queen's Crown) (1.2 cm diameter).
The inside crown is lined with a bright green cotton fabric. The crown is lined again with a dull, translucent plastic sweat shield. The sweatband is made of a mid-brown leather (5 cm wide).
