Description
1960's Royal Canadian Horse Artillery/Royal Canadian Army officer's service dress jacket w/insignia made of fine barathea wool in khaki green. The jacket has an open collar and is single breasted with four buttons. The buttons are Queen's Crown/Artillery Gun with motto brass buttons (2.5 cm diameter). On the shoulders are shoulder straps closed with a brass Artillery button (2 cm diameter). On the strap are three brass rail "pips" (3 x 3 x 0.7 cm) denoting a captain. On the collar are two brass "UBIQUE" Arillery badges (2.8 x 4.5 cm). There are two breast pleated pockets (14 x 15.5 cm) closed with buttoned (1.8 cm diameter) scalloped flaps. The two waist pockets (23 x 25 cm) have flaps closed with small Artillery brass buttons. Between the breast and waist pocket on the right side, is a slit pocket for a watch fob. Over the left breast pocket are two ribbons denoting UNEF and Canadian Forces Decoration. The rear has a vent (33.5 cm long).
The jacket is lined with light green silk or polyester. The lining near the vent has been repaired with black thread. Over each breast is an inner slit pocket.
