1918-1935 Royal Flying Corps/Royal Air Force flying helmet. Flapped, half-bowl shape. Light brown cowhide leather. Stitched construction: crown sections, side earflaps with brass press stud fasteners (for earphone tubes). Chinstrap is 2.5 x 17 cms. Light yellow or tan chamois leather lining. Earflaps hide hole cut-outs for earphone tubes.Made/Created
