1916 British Army Webley Mark VI revolver. During World War One (1914-1918) most British officers carried the standard-issue .455 inch Webley Mk IV, V or VI revolvers. These weapons were usually used in hand-to-hand fighting or for personal protection, with the bayonet assisting greatly for close quarters combat (CQC).
