Description

1918-1930 Canadian Expeditionary Force/Canadian Army Major-General's service dress jacket. Khaki barathea wool. Single-breasted, lapels. Two pleated, scallop-flapped breast pockets, two flapped waist pockets. Four brass "General Service" 2.7 cm. diameter buttons at front, six smaller ones (2 cm. diameter) for pockets, shoulder straps. Shoulder straps have pinned to them brass Major-General's "sword and baton" insignia and letter "R". Each lapel has rectangular 3.5 x 9 cm. red wool/gold bullion wire General Officer's tab and 1.2 cm. diameter General Officer's gilt metal button. Ribbons on breast for Order of the Bath (Companion), Order of St. Michael and St. George (Companion), Distinguished Service Order, 1914-1915 Star, 1914-1920 British War Medal, 1914-1919 Allied Victory Medal (Mention in Dispatches oakleaf), 1935 king George V Jubilee Medal, 1937 King George VI Coronation Medal, 1930's Long Service Decoration, Long Service Medal.
