1914-1919 Allied Victory Medal, w/Mentioned-in-Despatches oakleaf, to BRIG.GEN. F.W.HILL Circular, copper-lacquered bronze. Obverse shows figure of winged Victory holding a palm leaf in one hand. Reverse shows title "The Great War For Civilization 1914-1919" surrounded by wreath. Fixed loop at top of medal holds ring through which is watered ribbon violet, blue, green, yellow, orange, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, 3.6 x 7 cm. Pinned near top of ribbon is 9 mm x 3.7 cm. bronze oakleaf device (denotes Mention In Dispatches). Depicted in the bottom row of medals, fourth from the left.
