1901 Colonial Auxiliary Forces Officers' Decoration, to MAJOR F.W. HILL. 44th REGIMENT. Oval. Gilt silver Imperial crown atop beaded silver border titled "Colonial Auxiliary Forces" In centre is gilt silver Royal Cypher "VRI" Reverse is flat silver, with hallmarks and rank/name/unit stamped. Suspender of fixed ring and silver wire loop to dark green ribbon 1.8 x 3.7 cm. At top ribbon is silver laurel-decorated bar. Depicted in the bottom row of medals, second from the right.
