1908-1913 Royal Merchant Navy Certificate of Discharge Nr. 504680 "Jean Maurice Barbe Pougnet de Maurbois (Marbois?)" Rectangular, dark blue cloth bound covers, 24 pages. Stamped on front with Board of Trade symbol in gilt, plus number. Contains notes on 1894 Merchant Shipping Act, Notice To Seamen, Continuous Cerificate of Discharge, some 24 ships worked on, last date is note made in 1922.
Notes at the back read: '"Father's origin N of Scotland Surgeon-General of the (illegible) 1890 died in 1890s".
In a different hand: "Kingswood / Burntisland / Fife / Scotland".
Also in a different hand: "My uncle sold the above mentioned estate in Scotland - / I am leaving for Gloucester where my mother is from i.e. The Toll----Edwards"Made/Created
