Description

1799-1820 British/Irish civilian drinking cup. Tapered rectangular light (honey) brown, stippled white horn. Sterling silver interior fitting. In centre of cup, on two sides, are fitted two ovoid 2 x 3 cm. sterling silver plaques. One is engraved "HIG", other engraved "For Right And Reason" in garter, a Griffon with sword.
