1950's-1970 Royal Canadian Army Service Corps Major's bush dress jacket made of khaki green cotton drill. The jacket is single breasted and closed with five brown plastic buttons (2 cm diameter). On each shoulder strap is a brown plastic button (2 cm diameter) and a bronze major's crown pin with red velvet (2.8 x 2.8 cm). The jacket has two pleated breast pockets closed with a buttoned (2 cm diameter) scalloped flap. On the hips are two patch pockets closes with flaps. Over the left breast pocket are nine ribbons denoting the following: Order of British Empire (military), 1939-45 Star, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, Canada Volunteer Service Medal, War Medal 1939-45, Queen Elizabeth II Coronation 1963, Canadian efficiency decoration (ED), and Dutch Order of Nassau. Under each armpit is two ventilation eyelets (0.8 cm diameter) made of thread. The sleeve cuff has an adjustable closure and closes with a brown plastic button (2 cm diameter). There are two buttons on each sleeve cuff. On the side seam are two belt loops made of matching drill (6.5 x 1.5 cm).
The inside is unlined. On the right side, over the right hip pocket, is the remnants of a clothing label (6 x 8.5 cm). No text is legible.Made/Created
