Description

1939-1945 Canadian Volunteer Service Medal w/overseas clasp, "Bomber Command" clasp. Circular, silver. Obverse seven marching figures representing Army, Navy, Air Force, Nursing Sisters, title "1939 Canada 1945" and "Volontary Service Volontaire" Reverse is coat of arms of Canada. Suspender is straight bar with hole, loose ring, lug on medal. Ribbon green, red, blue, red, green 3.6 x 9 cm. has 4 mm x 3.6 cm white metal rectangular overseas bar (maple leaf device) and 5 mm x 3.7 cm white metal rectangular "four engined bomber" bar. Depicted here second from the right.
