Description

The clock is painted black and is screwed onto a black metal plate. This plate is also painted black and has three holes on its three corners which may have allowed it to be mounted on an instrument panel. On the bottom of the panel clock is the imprinted symbol of a crown with the initials "A.M." Near the winding mechanism of the clock is written the numerical sequence "32870/2." A small circular pane of glass protects the clock face. The numerals and the minute intervals on the clock face appear to have been incribed in white paint. Near where the minute and hour hands meet on the clock face is written, to the left, "MK II C" in blue paint. Above the "6" on the clock face is written "REF No. 6A/(H or N?)O4" in blue paint. Below the 12 is written "8 days" in white paint and below that the partial inscription "(1 or 2)25(??)" the two following numerals cannot be made out. The winding mechanishm for the flight instrument is to the right of the clock.
