The postcard, dated September 16, 1915, reads "Well Grace; Here I am in Shorncliffe away across the ocean. I went up to Caesar's camp and saw F Prewelt (sp?) last night and he was very glad to see me. Di you pass your exams all right? Did Mother get my last short letter. Well, Good bye. Brother Reg". Next to Reg is "Irwin" written in pencil. The postcard is adressed to Miss Grace Irwin, 43 Grenadier (?) Road, Toronto Ontario Canada.
The postcard itself features 5 German soldiers on the run from 5 cheery looking Canadian (?) troops. The text reads "himmel - The "Princess Pat's" have arrived!". It was published by Solomon Brothers, Ltd. on New North Road, London. The series number is given as 1010. There is no stamp or postage on the postcard.
