Description

1940 Canadian Army Mark II steel helmet. Rimmed light bowl shape, glossy olive-green finish. Right of the helmet features a painted white sword and the text "18th CRUSADERS". Red and Blue regimental flash with a white "77" on the left side, indicating that this helmet belonged to the 5th Anti-tank Regiment of the 4th Canadian Armoured Division. Underside features a rubberised canvas suspension system attached to the helmet by a screw bolt anf four-armed pad base. Elasticated web and cotton Chinstrap (2.7cm wide, 40cm long) fixed by bales on either side. underside also features "B22004" written in pencil.
