1918 CEF Staff Colonel's service dress cap. Green khaki wool crown/body, four ventilation grommet holes, macchine-stitched construction. Black mohair cap band (5.2 cm high) with "wandering leaf" pattern. Stitched to front is a 2.8 x 4.5 cm. gold bullion wire, red-green velvet lion on King's crown badge, padded. Adjustable brown leather chinstrap 1 x 31.5 cm held by two brass "General Service" buttons 1.2 cm diameter. Black leather peak with row of gold bullion maple leaves (faded) 1.7 x 28 cms. Peak underside lined with brown oilskin lined leather. Red-brown leather sweatband, oilskin liner in circular stitched pattern.Made/Created
