Description

1939-1945 Defence Medal. Circular, silver. Obverse an uncrowned head King George VI facing left, title GEORGIVS VI DG BRITT OMN REX FD IND IMP. Reverse an oak tree stump with Royal Crown, lion, lioness. Title THE DEFENCE MEDAL 1939 1945. Suspender is a toe claw and plain, straight suspender. Ribbon is green with two hin black stripes, a centre stripe of orange, 3.2 x 8.2 cm. No accession number on medal, court-mounted in group of ten medals.
