1944-1945 Royal Air Force field service "wedge" cap. Curved rectangular blue-gray wool serge. Stitched construction: top crown, body with two adjustable side flaps held at tops by steel eyelets/hooks. Front brim can fold down, held flat by two steel-backed black plastic buttons stamped in relief with King's crown and eagle. Lining of blue-gray linen or cotton.Made/Created
