1917-1918 Canadian Signal Corps' Lieutenant-Colonel service dress cap w/badge made of khaki green barathea wool. The crown is circular, stiffened with a wire on the inside. The body is four-piece construction with the centre front stiffened with a metal plate. Two ventilation grommet holes (0.7 cm diameter), painted brown, are on either side of the cap. The cap band is also stiffened. The brass cap badge (4.5 cm x 3 cm) denotes the Canadian Signal Corps and depicts two flags on either side of a "CSC" surrounded by foliage and scrolls. A King's crown surmounts the other motifs. The medium brown leather chin strap is attached to the cap band with two brass British general list buttons (1.4 cm diameter. The chin strap is made adjustable with two leather sliders.
The inside is lined with a tan cotton or linen twill fabric. The crown is diamond quilted. The sweatband is made of medium brown leather with a row of red cord at the rear woven between the leather, making the fit adjustable (woven row is 19.5 cm long).Use
