Description

1820-1850 British civilian pocketwatch. Circular, flattened brass body with side-hinged face rim, top-hinged face and action (hinged from top of back). At top is 2cm long brass fob ring. Watch face is white-enamelled with Arabic numerals "1" to "12" and "15", "30", "45" and "60" second numerals. Scrolled steel and brass hands. Between "1" and "2" o'clock numerals is a squared steel winding spring post set into face.
