Description

1916-1917 British Army Phenate-Hexane anti-gas helmet. Gray linen cloth hood. Three-piece stitched construction. Two 6.5 cm. diameter circular white-painted steel lens mounts (with clear glass lenses) set into front. Below is a 6 x 6.5 cm. brown rubber exhalation bag tied around a 2.5 x 8 cm. steel breathing tube.
