1942-1945 American Army M1 steel helmet liner. Pressed high pressure composite army olive coloured fibre. Brown leather sweatband fixed to hexagonal aluminum mount.
In the liner there is a sweat band composed of two interlocking hexagonal fixtures.
The high pressure liners first made an appearence during the mid - late Second World War.
