Used by the British during the Great War, the No. 15 "cricket ball" hand grenade was a time-fused grenade. The user had to remove the covering that concealed the fuse to light it. The user then struck the external Brock matchhead igniter against the fuse. There were two types of fuses: the five-second and the nine-second.
