1939-1945 American Army Colt Double-Action Model 1917 revolver, s/no. 15021. Curved blued steel squared butt with smooth walnut grips. Blued steel solid frame with swing-out six round capacity cylinder. Fittings of ejector rod with internal ejector, butt lanyard ring. Caliber .45 inch cylindrical blued steel barrel 4.5 in (13.8cm) long. Rearsight a "U" notch, frontsight a fixed blade.
