British First Commonwealth Division Christmas card from the Christmas of 1952. Beige cardstock exterior with the blue Commowealth crest on the front. Interior paper held to exterior with a light blue ribbon.
Card text reads "Greetings and Best Wishes for Christmas and the New Year (signed) Ian Korea December 1952". On the opposite side is a photo of 8 men sitting in and around a jeep. The caption of the photo identifies each man as being from one of the commonwealth countries (India, Wales, Canada, England, Australia, New Zealand, N. Ireland, Scotland). The sign behind the men indicates the photo was taken at Fort George.
On the back flap of the exterior cardstock is a message in the same hand as the signature. It reads "I thought you might like to see this, although you've probably had others. It's neither very artistic nor very wintery, really. 'Fort George' is Div HQ. (signed) Ian".Made/Created
