1945 Royal Ordnance Corps officer's field service cap Canadian made of khaki green barathea wool. The cap is a wedge pattern. The crown and body is three-piece construction, each stiffened with a thicker fabric. On the right of the cap is a Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps badge made of brass (4 cm x 5 cm). It is fixed on the inside of the cap with lugs. The unstiffened peak is folded over the body. The curtain is buttoned closed with brass Canadian General List buttons (1.4 cm diameter) at the front and folded onto the body, hooked onto the sides with a hook that latches onto a brass grommet (0.8 cm diameter).
The peak and the curtain are unlined. The body and crown are lined with a blue twill fabric. The sweatband (4.2 cm wide) is made of a khaki green twill fabric.Context
